Incredulity: “The Reports of My Death…”

Samuel Clemens (aka Mark Twain) once famously wrote:  “The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.” Pondering that, I’m posting this brief piece as a notice to my readers. Please take the following to heart:

If you ever hear that I stopped posting because I lost interest in blogging…

Then don’t believe it! I intend to blog for many years, and then pass on SuvivalBlog to some fellow freedom-loving Christian that I genuinely trust who will keep up its standards.

If you ever hear that I stopped posting because I was demonetized or otherwise couldn’t make a living at it…

Then don’t believe it! I’ll keep blogging even if means doing so at great personal expense.

If you ever see SurvivalBlog change in a distinct way, indicating that I’ve had some change of political affiliations and want to make nice with the socialists, statists, and collectivists…

Then don’t believe it! My blog site would then have been co-opted.

If you ever hear that I’ve “gone into hiding” or “fled the country” but then you don’t hear anything from me (directly or indirectly) within three weeks…

Then don’t believe it! At that point, I’m probably being held against my will, or have been killed. Please note my intention: I will do my best to continue blogging on a fairly regular basis, even if I’m forced into exile.

If you ever hear that I committed suicide…

Then don’t believe it! I would never do that.

If you ever hear that I was “killed in a shootout with authorities” but that none of them were killed or injured…

Then don’t believe it! That means that I was dry-gulched or ambushed in some other way.

If you ever hear that I was arrested and later “found strangled, suspended by a bedsheet”…

Then don’t believe it! (Jeffrey Epstein didn’t commit suicide, either.)

If you ever hear that I was arrested for “child pornography”, “rape”, “child molestation”, or anything else immoral…

Then don’t believe it! I have not and will never do those sorts of things.

If you ever hear that I’ve been arrested and have “pled guilty”…

Then don’t believe it! I will always put up a valid legal defense.

If you ever go to www.SurvivalBlog.com but you see a zombie advertising page or a “This domain name is available” page…

Then don’t believe it! We lease a dedicated server overseas, and also have a backup server in CONUS. We always keep our domain registrations up to date.

Now, in contrast:

If you ever hear that I’ve been arrested and have “pled not guilty” in a criminal trial…

Then you can probably believe it! I will challenge jurisdiction first, and then the merits of the case.

If you ever hear that I’ve been arrested, and that I cannot be contacted — or that I’m often being moved from jail to jail…

Then you can probably believe it! They call that Diesel Therapy.

If you ever hear that I’m in jail but incommunicado, and that I’ve gone on a hunger strike…

Then you can probably believe it! But I most likely wouldn’t do so to the point of death.

If you ever hear that I’ve died of a heart attack…

Then you can believe it, but only if you hear that in a post from my wife — backed up by other credible sources who know me personally.

If you ever go to www.SurvivalBlog.com but the URL does not resolve or returns a “404” message page…

Then we’ve probably been hacked. In most cases, we’ll be back up within 36 hours. Be patient. But if you don’t hear anything from me within a week —  directly or indirectly (through the fellow bloggers that I often mention) then my blog has surely been taken down by some force other than just private hackers.

If you ever go to SurvivalBlog.com and see our page replaced with a static “takedown” warning page from some agency of government

Then beware. Other blogs and websites will probably get “un-personed” at the same time. It might be time to load your guns and head for the hills — or vote from the rooftops.

Lastly: The only way to be sure that you’ll always be able to read the SurvivalBlog archives is to either build your own archive of the blog and put it on a 32+ gigabyte USB stick, or get one of the waterproof archive USB sticks that we sell.
